The Research Group Dannes-Camiers was founded by the children and grandchildren of deportees from Liege (Belgium) to labor in northern France. Our aim is to find, gather and diffuse the information and documents relating to this relatively unknown episode of the deportation of Belgian Jews as well as documents from the city administration on the deportees from Liege and nearby Seraing. Ours is a non-profit organization born of a personal initiative. All material is used with permission of the individuals who have contributed it as well as the legal authorization to use it. No reproduction is allowed, by eletronic or other means, without the explicit written permission of the owners. This site is a work in progress, documents, articles, pictures etc. will be added regularly as part of our ongoing research.
